Dong Bung Iee Forest Park is located in Dong Bung Iee Forest Reserve plot no. 3 in Na Kok District, Nikom Sroy Ampur, Mook Da Han Province. The area became a forest reserve on 21 November 1972. The 1,300 rai forest park itself was found on 8 August 1995 by Royal Forest Department.
Topography
The area is generally rocky mountain ranges. Altitude ranges from 500-600 metres from sea level. Many caves can be found on the mountain. Trees grew around on the foothill are small size. On the hill, mixed deciduous forest and hill evergreen forest patches are found which are also watershed of Dong Bung Iee river.
Flora and Fauna
Majority of trees are medium to small size. Economically valuable trees are Afzelia Spp., Dalbergia cochinchinensis, Lagerstroemia cuspidata, Wrightia pubescens, Kalanchoe pinnata, Lagerstroemia cuspidate, Wrightia pubescens, Bombax anceps, Hopea Spp. and Parkia speciosa. Undergrowth found here are Bamboo spp, Thyrsostachys siamensi and Gigantochloa albociliata. Wildlife still found in the area today are Roller, Bulbul, White-rumped Shama, Squirrel, Ground Squirrel, Mongoose, Mole, Lizard, Butterfly lizard and Snakes.
