Than Tip Waterfall Forest Park is located in Moo 3, Ban Than Tip, Bung Num Tao District, Lom Sak Ampur, Petchabul Province. Than Tip Waterfall is a forest park of 8,750 rais in Khao Plok Lon Forest Reserve. It was gazetted by Royal Forest Department on 1 May 1995.
Topography
In general, the area consists of steep and high mountains ranging from 500-600 metres above sea level. The Mixed Deciduous forest in the area is fairly rich.
Flora and Fauna
The main vegetation types are Mixed Deciduous forest and Dry Dipterocarp forest. Flora recorded here are Pterocarpus macrocarpus, Afzelia xylocarpa, Lagerstroemia cuspidate, Sindora siamensis and Bamboo spp. Undergrowth species found include ferns, orchids and vines that grow along waterfall creek. From the survey and anecdote from villagers the area is home to Wild Pig, Barking Deer, Wild Cat, Junglefowl, Civet, Monitor, other reptiles and various birds.
